Become a member of the Van Zandt County Genealogical Society, or renew your existing membership. Annual membership is by calendar year, so we appreciate your getting your application/renewal to us around Jan. 1. The new dues rate is $25 for Individual membership or $30 for Family membership, because of increased printing costs from our newsletter. Thank you for your understanding.
Members get our award-winning quarterly newsletter, Our Heritage, as well as reduced admission prices to our seminars.
The Society was formed in 1980 and continues to serve the community and all genealogists (many from outside the county, some from outside the U.S.) with their family research questions. We meet on the fourth Saturday of every month, January through November, with a genealogy-related speaker at each meeting. (Meetings are free and open to the public, so you don't have to be a member to attend meetings.)
There are 2 types of membership. Be sure to specify which membership level you prefer:
Individual: $25.00 per year (as of January 2024)
Family: $30.00 per year (as of January 2024)
